I was excited when I checked this book out from the library. I really liked "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time". That book was well written, heartbreaking and made you think. "A Spot of Bother" started out strong but today on the bus at page 150 I thought "eh, another 200 pages of the THIS?". The plot got repetitive, the characters were not that interesting and I decided to pack it in rather than continue.
